Foundations of Wesleyan Theology

From October 7th to 10th BMTS will be visited by Dr. Kenneth J. Collins, under whose guidance we will explore the history and theology of eighteenth-century British Methodism with special attention to the life and thought of John Wesley.
The theological focus of the course will consider the doctrine of salvation in significant detail, especially the following elements:
1) the nature of justification,
2) the significance of Wesley’s Aldersgate experience,
3) the new birth,
4) the doctrine of assurance,
5) the faith of a servant,
6) and Christian perfection.
